15 Things You Need to Know for June 26th.

The Staunton-Augusta Family YMCA is re-opening on June 26th. We’re so excited to re-open our doors, but it will be a partial re-opening to adhere to statewide guidelines and to ensure we are minimizing member risk. Before Friday’s re-opening, here are some things you should know.

  1. We’ve missed our members so much and can’t wait to start seeing you again.

2. To keep pace track of spacing and people-per-facility ratios, we are asking members to sign up online for a designated workout time. We made a video to show you the entire process. (Watch the video here). If you run into problems, email chris@saymca.org or call the YMCA at (540) 885-8089.

3. For your safety, we’ve temporarily suspended the use of towels and locks.

4. Members coming to work out must sign a one-time waiver.

5. For your safety and the safety of others, there will be a quick temperature check and questionnaire with each visit.

6. For your safety and the safety of others, we’ve temporarily suspended guest services and will serve only members initially.

7. We have also temporarily suspended starting new memberships.

8. For your safety and the safety of others, we’ve temporarily suspended our nationwide YMCA agreement and will only be accepting our members.

9. We’ve temporarily suspended the use of the track.

10. For your safety and the safety of others, we’ll only be receiving credit card payments.

11. For your safety and the safety of others, members are asked to keep masks on in the facility except for when working out.

12. There will be access to bathrooms, but for your safety we have temporarily closed the large locker rooms.

13. During our initial re-opening, we are restricting use of the Wellness Center to adults.

14. Also during the initial re-opening, we’ve also suspended one-on-one equipment orientations.

15. We are not charging members for June. We froze member payments in April, and we’ll continue that freeze for June.
