Youth Volunteer Corps (Ages 11-18)

Youth Volunteer Corps is a network of affiliates hosted by nonprofit organizations, schools, or individuals that offer youth ages 11-18 the opportunity to serve their community. Applications are available at the front desk.

Saturday Night Madness (Grades 6-8)

Special event designed for middle schoolers ONLY that they can attend every second Saturday of the month. Kids can socialize and make new friends and participate in a number of fun activities. Price includes pizza. Price: $2 members/$3 non-members. Cash only.

Teen Center (Ages 12-17)

Community youth can experience a safe and fun environment under the care of new Teen Center supervisor Eddie Santiago and his youth development staff. The newly renovated Teen Center is equipped with a game room, a lounge area, a cafe, and a homework area. Optional programs are offered for the teens as well.

M-F 2:30-8:00 p.m., Weekends 2:00-7:00 p.m.

Tools for Success is a program designed for high school students to offer valuable information and assistance in their career journeys. This program provides students the necessary tools to properly complete job applications and resumes, confidently develop interview presentations , and to accomplish overall success in the workplace.

Afterschool Adventure Club (K-5th Grade)

Join us in a warm, caring environment where children have the opportunity to play with school friends and make new ones. Our program is state-licensed and directed by an experienced leadership team. Participants are offered homework assistance, healthy snacks, sports (in- and outdoors), arts and crafts, games, and swimming. Space is limited. Registration is ongoing as space allows. Bus transportation provided from Staunton City Schools.

Girls Volleyball League

Ages 10-13

Registration starts February 1

Learn the basic skills of volleyball while preparing to take your game to the next level. Maximum of 20 girls per team.

Fees: $35 Member $40 Non-Member

Dates: March 22 – April 26

Times: Thursdays, 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm OR 6:45 pm – 8:00 pm
(times determined by the Volleyball Coach; players will be called by February 28 with practice time and day.)



Ages 3+

Pre-registration is a MUST

Our program is progressive, cardio-based, developmental, and designed to introduce and teach beginning to intermediate skills in floor, vault, balance beam, and bars. The program enhances fine and gross motor skills using dance and rhythm.

This class is for gymnasts who have mastered cartwheels/ round-off, handstand for 3 seconds, able to support a good bridge or backbend, and have reasonable flexibility and muscle strength.

Fees: $50 Member $65 Non-Member
*$10 discount will be given if child is registered by the Friday before each session begins.

Youth Health and Fitness

Ages 12 -14

All youth ages 12 -14 must complete at least four one-hour appointments with a fitness instructor in order to use the Wellness Center. Sessions emphasize safety and alignment. See Front Desk to schedule your appointments.

Little Dribblers Basketball

Ages 3-6

Pre-register by Jan. 2. Pre-registration is a MUST

Fundamental program that makes learning fun. Kids will learn the skills of the game through fun and exciting drills and games. Parents are encouraged to participate.

Half-Pint T-Ball

Ages 3-6

MUST pre-register by April 3

Learn the fundamental skills of t-ball in a fun and creative environment. This 6-week program promotes sportsmanship, having fun, and being active.

Homeschool PE

Ages 5-12

Both age groups will include a fun fitness section, a skill-building portion and finish with a sports period. (6-week sessions)

Summer Day Camp

(Dates subject to change due to winter weather)

A safe and exciting alternative for your child this summer. Arts and crafts, sports, swimming, field trips, games, songs, and much more! One-week sessions available; scheduled activities between 8:30am-4:30 pm, sites will be open from 7:00 am-6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Ages 5-10
Child must be 5 by July 1, 2016
Child need not have attended kindergarten but will do best if she/he has been in structured programs

Ages 11-14 Teen Camp
Child must be a rising 6th grader.
Dates: June 4 – July 27

Pre-K Summer Camp

YMCA Summer Camp for our youngest campers – 4 and 5-year-olds. Developmentally appropriate activities, swimming, games, crafts, and more. Held in the Afterschool Adventure Club space. Great for preschoolers that haven’t been in a structured setting previously. Kids must be potty trained. Registration begins March 1.

$10 one-time registration fee $10 per week, non-refundable, non-transferable deposit per child

Full day: $110 per week/Member. $125 per week/Non-member

Half day: $70 per week/Member; $80 per week/Non member

$15 late fee for half day camp if pickup is more than 30 minute late

Dates: June 4 – July 29


Child Watch/Playroom (Ages 3 months-11)

You don’t have to worry about your children wanting to come to the YMCA while you work out.  In fact you may get tired of them asking you to take them to the YMCA’s Child Watch area, open to children ages 3 months through 11 years.  You can leave them in good hands and let them experience fun the Y’s way.  Our playroom offers a wide variety of activities including a 20-foot high Play Place.  The staff is training in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.  See the monthly schedule for open times.

Parents Night Out (Ages 5-11)

Parent’s Night Out is a safe and fun environment for kids ages 5-11 to play, while parents enjoy a quiet evening to themselves or an evening out on the town. Pizza and drinks are provided as well as lots of fun! This program is supervised by trained staff. Child/ren must be signed in by 6:00pm. Pre-register at the Front Desk by the Monday before the scheduled date. Activities may include swimming, x-box, games and crafts. Life jackets and bubbles provided for non-swimmers. MINIMUM of 6 needed to hold event.

Birthday Party at the Y!

Available times on Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
