Leaders Club

The Leaders Club has been a part of the YMCA since 1885. Over the years it has proven to be a valuable tool in the development of leadership in teens. Members of the Leaders Club develop leadership skills through training in physical education, working with children and learning to work with a team of like-minded teens committed to their community. During the year, Leaders will take part in regular weekly meetings, training events, physical fitness, fellowship and volunteer opportunities. If all requirements are fulfilled, a Leader has the opportunity to attend Blue Ridge Leader’s School in June.

Requirements: Must be in grades 6 -12. Participants must complete the required volunteer hours within the school year, and attend 75% of the weekly meetings. We are actively looking for 6th and 7th graders to become founders of this program at the SAYMCA.

Fees: Members: $35.00 Non-Members: $50.00
